Tomatoes are starting to set....

Roma tomatoes are starting to put on a lot of fruit. I can almost here the hissing of the pressure canner now. Can't wait to get back to canning.

I love this time of year...

It is just about to come together. All of the planting and tending. We are going to have our first zucchini tonight. Cooked out in the outdoor kitchen.

Haven't Posted in a While.....

It has been some time since I last posted to my blog.  When I started this blog I wanted to share everything I could about my homestead project of turning our city lot into a working micro farm.  We have succeeded in a lot of our goals that we sat out to do.

As part of this blog I started using YouTube to make videos to post here.  I had no idea that a my YouTube channel would become such a wonderful thing.  I have been so busy with my YouTube channel that I have neglected my blog.

Canning Jalapenos

We picked all of our jalapenos ahead of a freeze.  We canned most of them as whole jalapenos and also made some jalapeno, carrot, onion relish.
