Heat wave.....

The weather has turned on us.  May was great for the garden with plenty of rain to keep everthing growing.  June on the other hand.....101 degrees yesterday.  I spent half the day watering everything.  I would get all the way across the garden watered and the other side would need watering again.

This was the garden in Febuary.  I felt cooler looking at these pictures.

We did manage to get out and pick the last of the plums.  We canned another 11 half pint of jam.  We were a pound short of plums for my recipe so we added strawberries.  Plum Strawberry jam.  It turned out awesome.

We harvested 16 1/2lbs of plums off of the crooked plum tree this year.  Not bad for a tree that I had given up for dead 5 years ago.
